'Spider'
is released under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike license, which means others can download, share, mash-up, and show to others my work.
It also means that any commercial use is prohibited.
The main reason for releasing my work in this way is due to the score I have used in 'Spider'. A while ago, a band named 'Nine Inch Nails' released a Creative Commons licensed album named 'Ghosts'. I fell in love with the concept of 'Ghosts' (www.ghosts.nin.com) and while I was editing together all my rushes, I often listened to the album.
It was not long before I had the idea to use 'Ghosts' in 'Spider', as the music fitted the scenes of my film perfectly. I did my research, and found out that 'Ghosts' was released to kick-start creativeness. Film-makers were encouraged to use 'Ghosts' tracks in their films, DJs were encouraged to mash-up tracks from the album etc...
The only stipulation (and it is fair) is that any works which include either in whole, or in part, any of the 'Ghosts' album, HAVE to be relased under the same license. The details of this license can be found on the link below:
